I’ve committed to sleeping outside overnight in July - a bad night’s sleep for a very good cause!
The rising cost of living, the impact of domestic and family violence, and the lack of affordable housing are not just national issues and they are being felt right here in Whyalla too.
We know that safe and stable housing is the foundation for people and families to feel secure, connected and supported. Unfortunately, for many in our community, having a safe place to sleep is not something they can take for granted.
I’ve joined the 2026 Whyalla Sleepout fundraiser to help raise awareness and vital funds to support people and families experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
By giving up one night of comfort, I hope to play a small part in shining a light on homelessness locally and supporting the life-changing services provided in our community.
