We're taking action to help end homelessness.

The Whyalla homelessness awareness committee is a group of passionate local community members who come together to fundraise and give back to our local community in early prevention and support to those in need. 

We’ve committed to sleeping in our cars and boxes overnight this July – in a bad night’s sleep for a good cause.

The increased cost of living, impact of domestic violence, and lack of affordable housing are all factors contributing to a homelessness crisis in Australia. We’ve joined Sleep In Your Car to raise awareness and vital funds to help families find a safe home. By giving up one night of comfort, we are raising awareness and vital funds to help end homelessness.

We’d love your support today by contributing to local cost of living support packs to be distributed by local service providers to those in need.
