Doing what I can, where I can, when I can

I've committed (albeit late) to sleeping in my car this October. A few rough sleeps for me, and hopefully a lot of help to those who don't get to choose to do this.

The increased cost of living, impact of domestic violence, lack of affordable housing, and per capita recession are all significant factors contributing to a homelessness crisis in Australia. I’ve joined 'Sleep In Your Car' to raise awareness and understanding and funds to go towards helping individuals and families find safe shelter and feel at home.

I’d love your support; whether that's by contributing via donation to the life-changing services provided by Mission Australia, or by joining me on a few of the nights I'll be sleeping in my car.

Together, we can do our best to ensure that all Australians have a safe place to call home.

So, technically my first sleep wasn't on the night of the 4th but instead a very early morning on the 5th... Oops. Anywho, it was about what I was anticipating. Uncomfortable initially, but definitely more than tolerable. I'm lucky to have a good sized car, so I could move around pretty freely throughout the night too.
