I'm taking action to help end homelessness and support families and children facing it.
Hi everyone,
My name is Lili.
This October, I’ve committed to sleeping in my car overnight – giving up one night of comfort to support a cause very close to my heart.
For those who don’t know me, I’m an early childhood educator, and every day I see how important safety, stability, and a sense of home are for children to thrive. The rising cost of living, the impact of domestic violence, and the shortage of affordable housing are leaving too many families and far too many children without a safe place to call home.
That’s why I’ve joined Sleep in Your Car. By spending one night in my car, I want to raise awareness and funds to support Mission Australia’s vital services that help families facing homelessness.
I hope to take you along this journey with me, and hopefully, one night of discomfort can support change within our housing crisis.

i’m honestly so amazed by how many people have supported me already 🥹💛 i set up this fundraiser exactly one week ago, and i’ve already reached $1,100!!
even though i’ve hit my initial goal, there’s still a whole month until i sleep in my car — so if you’d still like to donate, there’s definitely time to do so :))
i was reading some recent stats and was shocked to learn that over 17,600 children under the age of 12 are experiencing homelessness in australia. it absolutely breaks my heart. every donation, share, or bit of encouragement truly makes a difference 💘

We've hit $300!!
Friday 22nd Aug Yesterday, I made the decision that I wanted to do what I could to support everyone, but in particular, children and families facing homelessness and housing instability. Within the last 24 hours, I have had friends and family contribute to support the change needed within our housing situation in Australia. I am currently at $318 in donations at the moment and I am just blown away by the generosity of others. I am so excited by this milestone and can't wait to see where this goes.
